This post is long, long, well, well overdue. Last year, I discovered an amazing blog that draws a generous amount of my attention.

Rebekah Anne and Ami Elizabeth created the savviest, hands down most interesting blog about weddings that I've found yet. Please visit :

There are so many fun ideas, beautiful photographs and most importantly, these ladies are constantly posting which is a breath of fresh air!!

There are many ways to navigate through their blog. For instance, by the many categories listed or even by comments made from their readers. Keep up with the latest of the latest in the wedding industry and if you're a fellow twitter fan like me you can choose to follow Rebekah & Ami to be updated, up to the minute when new posts are added. Wahooo, technology!! I imagine brides at work just oozing over these posts while getting paid to plan their own spectacular event.

Another section to mention is The EAD Library. Here you can locate all of the hottest wedding professionals in the USA and beyond. Pretty fantastico if you ask me.

Courtney + Sean : August 30, 2008

Courtney and Sean were married at Seagrove Park in Del Mar. The evening celebration with friends and family was shared at the newly renovated L'Auberge in Del Mar. LOVE these two, their wedding party AND their families. It was a whole package for me and could have kept shooting until the weeee hours of the morning. I stopped in at their rehearsal dinner the night before which started off on the deck at L'Auberge and dinner was across the street at Sbicca.





Their wedding was being filmed for the TV show, Who's Wedding is it Anyway.
I must say, I'm frightened to see myself {if at all} running around in the background. It was a warm one so. . .{O, dear!} Will update on the air time.

The day started off with a beautiful hour of getting ready with Courtney.



Heading into dinner after I snuck them away for a few minutes during the sweet light.

Sarah and Michael were married at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego. I'm absolutely in love with Sarah. I feel that we were destined to know each other and I'm so happy to see two such beautiful people come together. They were supported by their amazing family and group of friends on a perfect day in San Diego.

One month and 7 days later. . .

Hi Hi Hi!! I've been a mega workaholic these days and have been neglecting my photo journal. I just wanted to send a Saturday night hello to let you know a couple of things. . .

1. I've been shooting, shooting, shooting and totally thrilled with the experiences I've had in the past month. To me, it feels more like a week than an entire month so September has gone by like POOOOOF for me.
2. I'll be honest. . .I never expected to be this busy in my first solo year.
3. I couldn't be happier with that decision ;).
4. I have encountered amazing, {some strange} ever evolving people who are teaching me everyday. . .for that I'm very thankful.
5. I've got some HUGE news for ya'll!!! and I just can't wait too much longer to update you.

Stay tuned for a new logo, wedding, engagement and travel photography. Also, stories of a new journey for the next chapter of Melissa Mullen Photography.

For now, I leave just one teaser from a recent wedding that I can't wait to finish.

Zac + Tracy . . . . love, love, love these two. Cried like a little sissy at their wedding. ;)

Claudia + Maik AND Anke + Steven = Double Wedding

These two couples traveled all the way from Germany to get married in San Diego. I had the pleasure of capturing their San Diego Wedding on Friday, May 30. It was extremely sweet and we had a great time.

Lynn Schuster of Pure Planning coordinated their event even with a huge time zone difference and language barrier. Reverend Powers married the two couples and it seemed we all laughed through the ceremony. He's an awesome, wonderful guy that makes me feel at ease every time I see that he's officiating a ceremony.

I grabbed one photo to post before heading out on a month long journey across the USA.

Lauren + Ryan :: Married, May 25, 2008

Lauren and Ryan sneak peak! They were married at the The Dana on Mission Bay on Sunday. It was so much fun to witness Lauren becoming Mrs. Jett and her and I both agreed that the day went by so fast! Her father performed the ceremony which added a unique personal touch and had me laughing throughout. Then there is the intense chemistry that Lauren and Ryan have for each other. They didn't seem to take their eyes off of each other and when they were a part in the room they were looking at each other and whispering, "Baby, I love you."



Tara O'Bannon and team of Events by Design coordinated their event. **Thanks ladies!! I enjoy being around you and had fun through the whole process!!**

Morgan Run Club & Resort in Rancho Santa Fe

Morgan Run is an amazing property with an expert and lovely staff. :)

I rave about the team of Private Event Managers - Meredith Grier and Anna Erickson who are two fabulous ladies who are a pleasure to work with. Actually, to be honest I love these two and can't wait to hang downtown sometime soon.

They worked extremely hard last week to host an Open House in which they opened their doors to an evening filled with great food and beautiful ambiance. Two days before the event I came out to capture some photographs to capture the property for display at the Open House event. Photographs from the Open House will appear here soon!

Stephany and Damon were married on February 2, 2008 at Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach.
